Sous Chef Required – Banqueting (Swansea Area)

A quality 3* Star Hotel with restaurant and function venue are recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Sous Chef with the passion, determination and proven experience of running a busy kitchen. The ideal person will have strong banqueting experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all Health and Safety standards are maintained
  • Have a creative flare when creating new menus and producing new dishes
  • Estimate stock, place orders with suppliers and check deliveries
  • Weekly stock take and monitoring of Food Costs and GPs
  • Ensure food quality is to the highest standards and that service is exceptional and ensure consistency in quality of dishes at all times
  • Manage and train junior chefs

The Hotel are very busy with weddings / functions throughout the year and they a chef who can manage volume and organise the banqueting operation.

The salary is negotiable depending on experience and live in can be provided for the right candidates.
